Sony has yet to confirm the list of games leaving PS Plus Extra and Premium in January 2025, but as has been the case in recent months, players have a fairly good idea of what’s leaving based on established departure patterns. We’ve been sharing these speculative lists since the latter half of the year, all of which turned out to be accurate. So, those who have yet to finish Resident Evil 2 are advised to wrap that campaign up.
Games likely leaving PS Plus in January 2025
As usual, Reddit user kayrakaanonline has put together a list of games that are most likely departing next month. Resident Evil 2 is expected to leave as it completes its 12 months in the catalog, which is in line with other Capcom releases including Resident Evil 7.
Square Enix games, on the other hand, tend to stick around for 24 months max. This means that Life Is Strange + Life Is Strange: Before the Storm, and Just Cause 4: Reloaded will most likely depart next month.
Other games that were added 24 months ago that players should keep an eye on include Dragon Ball FighterZ, Back 4 Blood, and Erica. Neither of these games take particularly long to beat.
