The holidays are a great time to visit family and eat delicious food. However, what it isn’t great for is the wallet. Thankfully, PlayStation has its players’ back with offers that will save gamers some cash during the busy holiday season. This includes a free online multiplayer weekends, and discounts on movies for PS Plus subscribers.
Starting on December 6, 2024, PlayStation users can enjoy online multiplayer with the free online multiplayer weekends. Players can enjoy the online features of any of their own games at no additional cost. This period will last until December 8 ,2024, and is available for both PS5 and PS4 consoles.
During that same period, several PS5 esports tournaments will be commencing. Featured games include EA Sports FC 25, NBA 2K25, Tekken 8, Mortal Kombat 1, Madden NFL 25, College Football 25, UFC 5, MLB The Show 24, and Guilty Gear Strive. Anyone who owns these games and qualifies can compete between December 6 and 8 to earn avatars and other prizes. PS5 players can sign up on the Game Hub or the in-game PlayStation Tournaments button.
PS Plus subscribers also have several opportunities to save big during the holidays. PlayStation is holding a sweepstakes between December 10 and 23, giving away a 30 month Premium membership to 30 winners per participating country. To enter, players just have to play a game from the Classics Catalog via a Premium membership. Here are the participating countries:

Additionally, purchasing any 12 month PS Plus membership includes movie credits for the Sony Pictures Core app.
