Overthrown gets December Xbox Game Pass release date
Wielding the powers of a soul-stealing crown, you have the power to move anything you can see in Overthrown, traverse the world at supersonic speeds, perform dangerous spin attacks, and the strength to throw objects a mighty long way. Over on Xbox Wire, developer Brimstone Interactive describes Overthrown as a city-builder that “is all about chaos, and just to throw something a bit unusual into the mix, we allow you to play like an anime character with superhero abilities, and with up to five friends.”
While we’re building and managing our dream realm, we’ll also need to defend it from bandits and mutants, using our crown’s powers to make things easier. However, there is a caveat: the crown can be lost or stolen and fall into an enemy’s clutches, forcing you to battle that powerful new adversary to regain your property. During co-op, only one player can wear the crown, so you could be the envy of your friends as they watch you effortlessly lifting buildings from the ground and… absorbing trees?
Overthrown sounds like some great chaotic co-op fun, and we don’t have much longer to wait until we can dive in. If you’re looking for something to fill the time, though, take a look at our list of the best Game Pass games.
