Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 was the highest grossing game on Steam last week, knocking off fellow online shooter Counter-Strike 2 from the top spot.
There were concerns about the commercial impact Activision’s blockbuster franchise now being part of Xbox Game Pass would have, but it is clear that people on Steam at least are still prepared to fork out for the shooter. Obviously it’s unclear how Black Ops 6 has sold at this time.
Amazon and NCSoft’s MMO Throne and Liberty drops one spot to third while Factorio returns to the Top Ten in fourth thanks to the launch of the new Space Age expansion, which was the fifth biggest seller of the week.
Factorio and its new expansion push both Valve’s Steam Deck and PUBG: Battlegrounds down two spots to sixth and seventh respectively, while free-to-play military sim War Thunder shot up from No.35 to eighth last week on the back of new hardware being added to the game and discounts on returning tech.
Chaotic card game Liar’s Bar drops down three spots to ninth while EA Sports FC 25 rounds off the Top Ten.
