We’ve written before about the Amazon Fire TV stick being one of the cheapest Xbox consoles, so to speak — through the Xbox app on Fire TV, you can stream hundreds of great titles with an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription. Well, it looks Amazon is formalizing that suggestion by now offering a veritable Xbox starter kit bundle with its Fire TV 4K Max streaming stick, an official wireless Xbox controller, and one month of Game Pass Ultimate all for $79.99 (was $146.97), saving you 45% in total. You can also opt for the non-Max Fire TV 4K and grab everything for $5 cheaper but the tradeoff is a marginally slower connectivity, and given the need for the lowest latency possible, we recommend opting for Max here instead.
For those who do not already Xbox Series X or S, this bundle has everything you need to get started — just add internet. There are three different controller color variants available, too: Astral Purple, Deep Pink, and the translucent Sky Cipher that Microsoft launched earlier this year. Even if you already have a console, grabbing an extra controller and additional month of Game Pass Ultimate isn’t a bad deal, especially if you had also been looking at a good streaming solution for another TV in your home (or as a gift for someone).
