US Game Pass Ultimate subscribers can claim Saw and The Devil’s Rejects
Microsoft appears to be getting into the spirit of the spooky season, as Game Pass Ultimate members in the US can claim two additional Perks this month. Both the original Saw and Rob Zombie’s brilliant The Devil’s Rejects are available to claim until October 31 — perfect if you fancy settling down for a night of gore-filled brutality for Halloween.
With ten films already available in the series and an eleventh on the way, Saw likely needs no introduction, but if you’re yet to watch any of these gruesome movies, you’re in for a treat. Saw is the first installment of the series, focusing on two men locked in a room who must kill each other as part of a “game” made by serial killer Jigsaw. It’s an excellent movie and absolutely deserves to be watched.
As for The Devil’s Rejects, it’s one of my top ten favorite movies and definitely my favorite film from the legendary Rob Zombie. It’s a black comedy horror and sequel to House of 1000 Corpses, although you don’t need to watch its predecessor to enjoy this entry. It follows a family of serial killers — Otis, Baby, and Captain Spaulding — who torture a family in a motel room while on the run from the police. It’s gruesome, darkly comical, and just bloody good all the way through. Plus, if you haven’t seen that scene that plays out to Lynyrd Skynyrd’s Free Bird — this is a must-watch.
