PS5 Pro preorders have come and gone, leaving players waiting until its launch in November to experience the new and improved Sony console. Over 50 games are PS5 Pro enhanced so far, specifically taking advantage of the hardware’s “big three” features.
What are the confirmed PS5 Pro enhanced games so far?
The PS5 Pro boasts AI upscaling, a larger GPU, and enhanced ray tracing capabilities as reason for it’s increased performance and price, though games will have to be updated to take advantage of all these new features.
Compiled by Reddit user ZXXII on the PS5 subreddit, a total of 54 games are PS5 Pro enhanced. Much of Sony Interactive Entertainment’s marquee titles, along with some big third-party games will utilize the new console’s larger GPU, advanced ray tracing, and AI driven upscaling. Of course, as more games release, this list will grow. Despite that, anyone who picks up a PS5 Pro can enjoy a solid amount of games with all the neat bells and whistles the enhanced console has to offer.
However, just because the new fancy console does enhance some games quite significantly, that does not guarantee every game will run at native 4K and 60 frames per second. In fact, some games may target 30 fps and still be considered PS5 Pro enhanced.
Additionally, thanks to its AI driven upscaling feature, even backwards compatible PS4 games will see visual and performance improvements with the console’s Game Boost feature. This allows games like Elden Ring, which hasn’t been confirmed to be PS5 Pro enhanced, to receive improvements without implementing a large update.
PS5 Pro launches November 7, 2024, for $699.99. For PlayStation’s 30th anniversary, Sony announced a themed limited edition console based on the company’s first console. However, preorders sold out almost instantly, leaving players pretty frustrated.
