Samsung Live Translate will be available on third-party apps — and WhatsApp is included.
Samsung announced the news during its Samsung Unpacked keynote on Wednesday, and Mashable has confirmed with the company that WhatsApp will be one of the apps that are supported.
Originally announced in November 2023, Live Translate is Samsung’s artificial intelligence feature that translates phone calls in real time. It’s built into Samsung’s phone app, but now we know that it will also be available in other apps running on Samsung phones.

The company also re-iterated that live translations are happening entirely on-device, meaning your data should stay private.
Live Translate originally launched on Samsung Galaxy S24 devices, but was later expanded to other models, including Samsung Galaxy S22 and S23, as well as Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4.
