Perfect Woman unobtainable achievements fixed
Looking at the comments on the Transcendental achievement page, Perfect Woman developers Peter Lu and Lea Schönfelder were attempting to fix both achievements soon after launch, but by 2018 work on the game had to be dropped. According to SouperDewper’s comment at the time, the developers said, “thanks for your continued interest in our game! Unfortunately, the broken achievements will not be fixed. We don’t have the resources to make an update to the game at this point. Sorry for the inconvenience.”
Fast forward to March 17, 2024, and Vudix revealed that he was working with developer Peter Lu to fix both achievements: Gross and gruesome and Transcendental, which required you to play as specific characters throughout the game. That fix has now been rolled out, changing the requirements for both unobtainable achievements.
Players looking to complete Perfect Woman will now be required to get ten transcends for Transcendental and ten gruesome deaths for Gross and gruesome.
“I’m extremely grateful for the support from the community and the ID@Xbox family. I was able to upload this fix in person at the Xbox Lounge while I was at GDC and the energy from that whole experience has pretty much guaranteed more of these are coming,” V/V Interactive’s Vudix told us. “In fact, there’s another one right around the corner.
“Peter Lu is a saint and it’s absolutely important to mention that this would not have been possible in any way without his support and passion for the project. Peter came along before we had this process figured out and really stuck with us through uncertain times. He was one of the first folks to really agree to this concept before we had any tangible results for implementing fixes directly in this format.”
Now that all 15 Perfect Woman achievements are obtainable, two TrueAchievements members have posted completions. Will you be jumping in for the 1,000G? Meanwhile, last month Vudix worked with Gamious to fix two unobtainable achievements in IO, as well as stabilize another buggy achievement by changing its requirements. By the sounds of it, V/V Interactive has other projects in the works, so we’ll hopefully see additional games receive similar treatment in the future.
