Microsoft today announced their plans for future Xbox Scorpio reveals, and it indeed looks like the next stop for more information is E3 2017. Phil Spencer took to the Xbox Blog today to summarize what we know about the Scorpio so far, and to reassure those looking forward to the console that there will be a diverse lineup of games on the horizon that are described as only playable on Xbox One & “Better on Scorpio.”
Spencer says there’s a diverse lineup of games coming to Scorpio
“Ultimately we know you care most about great games, whether they be exclusive, multiplatform, independent or AAA. We are proud of the diverse lineup of games coming this year that will only be playable on Xbox One and will play better on Project Scorpio. We designed Project Scorpio to be the best console to play the blockbuster multiplatform games from our publishing partners, made it easy for recently released titles to upgrade to true 4K and for beloved, backward compatible titles to play better than ever before,” reads Spencer’s post.
There really is no telling what Microsoft could announce at E3 2017 in terms of games. They’ve had quite a few surprises up their sleeves in recent years and definitely shown a committment to releasing exclusive titles for the Xbox One. Some have been out of the blue, like Halo Wars 2, Sunset Overdrive, Quantum Break and others that broke from the constant stream of Halo, Gears of War, and Forza titles that they delivered over the last decade.
Invitations went out this morning for Microsoft’s 2017 E3 Briefing. Moving it up a day, Project Scorpio will take center stage ahead of E3 2017 on Sunday, June 11th 2017.
