After a small break over the Christmas period, it was time to jump back into Planet Zoo and carry on enjoying the Planet Zoo Eurasia Animal Pack that recently dropped. This pack allows the player to immerse themselves in the beauty of the Eurasian environment. After playing the Oceania pack I was eagerly waiting to see what pack theme and animals we would see this time around and we get a good variety when it comes to the type of animals in this pack.
New Animals
The headline in the Planet Zoo Eurasia Animal Pack is as stated below. We got a good mix of small and big animals and another Exhibit animal which I always loved. This time it is a Hermann’s Tortoise. It is an adorable Exhibit animal and one that I enjoyed adding to my zoo. In the Oceania Pack we got five animals but with the Planet Zoo Eurasia Animal Pack, we get eight which is fantastic.
Habitat Animals:
- Wolverine
- Sloth Bear
- Mute Swan
- Wild Boar
- Wisent
- Saiga
- Takin
Exhibit Animal:
What comes with new animals? Of course, it is a brand-new animation. My favourite animals in this pack are the Sloth Bear, Mute Swan, and Takin as well as the Tortoise. The Swan is a graceful addition to any zoo and it is beautiful watching them swim in their ponds.
The Sloth Bear is just a wonder to behold and watching the herds of Takin roam around makes for a fantastic viewing experience for both guests and yourself. The additional eight animals can bring joy for you and your guests and the habits that can be made for them bring a whole lot of life to the rest of the animals already on offer in the game.
Alongside this DLC pack, we get another free update that brings the ability to make modular souvenir shops. This allows you to create and display shops that fit your zoos a lot better. It allows you to add more personality to elements in your zoo which in turn gives you more freedom and customisation. You also get to see your guests go into them, interact, and exit the stores. You will also get a new Multiselect by Flexicolour option and new colour morphs for the Bengal and Siberian Tigers.
Campaign Scenario
Again, we get another Campaign scenario thrown into the DLC pack. I like that this is a consistent thing with the Planet Zoo DLC packs. Yet again we work with Bernie Goodwin and aid him with a secret mission. This mission is to design and build a zoo as a retirement gift to Nancy Jones. Bernie has been working with Nancy for 30 years and wants to send her off with a bang. This scenario is enjoyable to play through and again adds more to the campaign scenarios that are on offer.
It wasn’t my favourite scenario as I preferred the previous DLC’s one but it was a welcomed addition to the pack. Frontier does offer a fair amount of content in their DLC packs which is one of the reasons I love them so much.
Conclusion
Frontier keeps the consistent price of £7.99 which is worth the asking price yet again. Again, giving us eight animals and another exciting campaign scenario, we continue to be graced with more gameplay that will keep us hooked. The continued love that Frontier is pouring into Planet Zoo. There is always a lot of effort and passion that goes into Frontiers DLC packs which is why I will continue to sink my time into them.
The eight animals are full of life and I love the animations and interactions that we get with every one of them. The campaign was another nice bonus but it wasn’t as good as the previous scenario but that’s my personal opinion. Frontier has provided another brilliant pack that adds more to our arsenal of animals that we can put on display in our zoos and again offers another fantastic setting for the pack’s theme.
It would be amazing if the next pack would be an aquarium pack or something like a bird cage kind of thing but I will be eagerly waiting to see what else is in store for Planet Zoo and its community. For these reasons, I’m giving the Planet Zoo Eurasia Animal Pack a score of 8 out of 10 for continuing the streak of solid DLC packs that have come out for Planet Zoo.
