Midori, a Persona leaker with a solid track record, has claimed that both a Persona 2 and Persona 4 remake currently ‘exist’ at Atlus.
Another known leaker, Im A Hero Too, has elaborated further, and claims that Persona 2 is actually a remaster and is known as P2 Redemption, and will include both parts and a new translation, plus various quality-of-life changes. This will be coming to all platforms including the Switch successor and ‘next-gen Xbox.’
Meanwhile, the potential Persona 4 Remake is apparently “years away” and hasn’t entered production yet. The Persona 2 effort is a smaller undertaking by comparison, and will show up either before Persona 6 or the year after.

It’s worth pointing out that the same leaker previously correctly outed the existence of a Persona 3 Reload, which is now available. However, Atlus hasn’t confirmed any plans to remaster Persona 2 and Persona 4 at this point, so take this with a pinch of salt for the time being.
We don’t even know when Persona 6 is going to turn up yet, despite the game having been confirmed as in development a few years ago.
