Package delivery enthusiasts will have to wait a bit longer to get their hands on Death Stranding 2. Sony debuted a new in-depth trailer at the end of its first State of Play for 2024. The title is still in development and not due out until 2025. Sony did not say if the game will be exclusive to the PS5 or if a PC release is in the cards.
Sony also confirmed the rumors that the sequel is officially titled Death Stranding 2: On The Beach. Players will have plenty of environments to walk through and can look forward to Troy Baker reprising his role as Higgs.
True to Kojima’s style, the Death Stranding 2 trailer is wacky. Good luck trying to figure out how a creepy maternity ward, guitar weapons, hand-shaped spiders and a talking puppet will fit together.
Notably, Kojima announced a brand-new franchise OD at The Game Awards that will be exclusive to Xbox. Expect many more out of context moments from it and Death Stranding 2: On the Breach over the next several years.
