Whenever there is a blatant product placement campaign in any video game in general – and Call of Duty in particular – I tend to focus my attention elsewhere. I mean, it’s great that brands find gaming franchises interesting, but I don’t want to go and purchase a product to get a digital prize that would otherwise be free. However, this Monster Energy collaboration with Call of Duty does not require you to purchase anything or even leave your house. Yes, it is completely free, and you only need to do the following to unlock the Monster Clutch Operator skin:
- Visit the official Monster Clutch Operator promotion page.
- Sign in using your Call of Duty account credentials.
- You will receive a promotion code. Many say that you need to copy it but in my case, it was automatically copied to the text box. Just keep that in mind.
- Enter the code and you will receive your skin across all of your platforms.
- You will find the “Clutch” Operator skin in the Operators tab. It is an alternate skin for BBQ, in case you are having trouble finding it.

If this skin appeared as a paid DLC, I would strongly recommend not purchasing it since it isn’t anything out of the ordinary. However, if you have a minimum of extra time and can spare a couple of clicks, I would encourage you to claim this reward and store it as preservation.
