Speaking on Giant Bomb’s Game Mess Mornings podcast (thanks, VGC) about the rumors of Microsoft potentially releasing PS5 ports of its biggest Xbox exclusives, Grubb said, “The other one that I’ve heard that’s definitely under consideration — it doesn’t mean that it’s going to happen, but it’s in talks — is Gears of War. Gears of War is being considered for this.”
Grubb also corroborated a report that Microsoft was planning to announce its new publishing plan at the end of February. “The other thing I can corroborate is a rumor that there will be something at the end of February when they’re going to explain this change. That is something that they definitely were talking about.”
Of course, this news should only be treated as a rumor at this stage — Microsoft still has not made any official comments about recent reports, such as the Hi-Fi Rush t-shirt datamine, or the Sea of Thieves PlayStation and Nintendo Switch rumors. Hopefully, we’ll hear something soon from Microsoft, as the silence from Team Green is starting to concern many Xbox fans.
