Luckily, full art and EX cards do count towards your total card count, but promo cards unfortunately don’t. For example, if you have a Pikachu EX card, but don’t have a standard Pikachu card, it’ll count towards the 150 cards needed for Mew.
Checking your progress in Pokémon TCG Pocket can be a little difficult as you can’t sort your cards by region.
