New information regarding a Hogwarts Legacy Definitive Edition has unearthed. This includes new content players can expect, the possible price tag, and a very broad release window.
Hogwarts Legacy Definitive Edition possibly launching in 2025
According to a report from Tom Henderson on Insider Gaming, Hogwarts Legacy Definitive Edition will include around 10 to 15 hours of additional content and release sometime in 2025. This includes a new story quest, side quests, activities, and outfits. It was also said that the new content will be sold as separate DLC. Pricing is still unknown, but it has been suggested it will be between $20 and $30. Additionally, Henderson’s sources suggest it’s releasing in 2025 to aid increasing revenue after Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League’s poor sales performance.
The existence of a new Hogwarts Legacy release was reported by Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier. Assuming the Director’s Cut Schreier reported on and the aforementioned Definitive Edition are the same project, Rocksteady Studios may be helping with its development.
Of course, like other video game rumors, take this with a grain of salt. Henderson has a solid track record, but developments in gaming can change overnight. We will know exactly what is in store for Hogwarts Legacy Definitive Edition when it potentially gets formally revealed.
It makes sense WB Games wants to capitalize on Hogwarts Legacy. It sold incredibly well, reaching over 22 million copies by the end of 2023. It seems that success has carried over to 2024, as it was one of Europe’s top downloaded PS5 games for September 2024.
Those download numbers may go up once the PS5 Pro hits shelves on November 7, 2024. WB Games open world adventure game will be enhanced, utilizing all the fancy bells and whistles the upcoming console possesses, including its advanced ray-tracing capabilities and its PSSR upscaling technology.
